Due to the generosity of more than 1,000 attorneys, individuals, law firms, judges, corporations, banks and foundations, the Combined Campaign for Justice 2006 met and exceeded its fundraising goal of $700,000. As a consequence of this generosity, Delaware remains the first in the nation for per capita giving by attorneys to statewide legal services campaigns.

Since the Combined Campaign for Justice’s inception in 1999, Delaware and the Campaign have led the nation for per capita giving by attorneys and law firms to statewide legal services campaigns.

The funds raised by the Campaign support the valuable work of Delaware’s three legal services agencies that provide free legal representation to low-income people: Community Legal Aid Society, Inc.(CLASI), Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, Inc. (DVLS) and Legal Services Corporation of Delaware, Inc. (LSCD). In 2007, the three agencies provided free legal services to thousands of Delawareans who had nowhere else to turn with their legal problems.
