CLASI is deeply disappointed and troubled by the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which has overturned nearly 50 years of legal precedent protecting fundamental rights to reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy in this country.

We stand with everyone who will be harmed by this decision. We know that it will disproportionately impact the same vulnerable and marginalized communities CLASI serves each day: women living in poverty, people of color, immigrants, victims of domestic violence, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ+ community. We are also very concerned about the broader threat that this decision poses to civil liberties and the possible erosion of LGBTQ+ rights and the rights of people with disabilities.

CLASI is committed to advocating for justice for all vulnerable people, and we will do everything we can to support those affected by the Dobbs decision.
