Who Do We Help?
CLASI can provide free assistance to the following Delaware residents, if they meet certain eligibility requirements and have a legal issue that we handle:
- People with disabilities
- Individuals age 60 and over
- Low-income families and individuals
- Survivors of domestic violence
- Immigrant victims of crime, abuse, and neglect
- Victims of housing discrimination
- Parents facing the removal of their children or termination of parental rights
What Kinds of Cases Do We Handle?
CLASI handles cases in a limited number of legal areas. As a nonprofit organization, the cases we can take are determined by our grant funding and program priorities based on current resources. CLASI does NOT handle criminal cases or personal injury cases.

How Do I Get Help?
If you think you are eligible for legal help, contact the CLASI office in your county listed below. Please have any notices or papers related to your issue with you, if possible.
A CLASI clerical team member will ask you for basic intake information. We are a nonprofit organization, and this is required by our funding sources before we can serve you.
If you are eligible for services, and you have a legal problem that we handle, your information will be given to a member of our legal staff who will review it and contact you. If you are not eligible for services from CLASI, we will do our best to connect you with other agencies or resources that might be able to help.

Delaware Legal Help Link
If CLASI is not able to assist you, there may be another organization that can help. The Delaware Legal Help Link website is a free service designed to help people with civil legal problems in Delaware find the best help for their situation.
It provides information about services provided by a range of Delaware organizations, including CLASI and our civil legal aid partners at Delaware Volunteer Legal Services (DVLS) and Legal Services Corporation of Delaware (LSCD), along with other organizations providing free and low-cost legal advice, representation, or other services.
