Domestic Violence Unit

CLASI’s Domestic Violence Unit provides assistance to survivors of family, intimate partner, and sexual violence, helping them to break the cycle of violence, power, and control to achieve safety and independence.
Our Services
We provide free legal representation to survivors in Kent and Sussex County in certain family law matters, including:
- Civil restraining orders, known as Protection from Abuse (PFA) Orders
- Limited assistance in related matters such as:
- Divorce
- Custody/visitation
- Property division
- Support
- Sexual Violence Protection Orders
Delaware Volunteer Legal Services (“DVLS”) provides representation to survivors in New Castle County.

- When CLASI represents survivors seeking Protection from Abuse orders, 89% are successful in obtaining an order or achieving their safety goal, compared to just 44% who are not represented.
